March 27, 2014

This is a debilitating problem that can cause headaches, jaw pain and a host of other problems

Temporomandibular joint disease can be described as an inflammation of the temporomandibular joint which connects the lower jaw to the base of the skull. It can sometimes be be caused or worsened by grinding.

Relief for TMD is possible…

At Orchard Dental we first analyse if you have a grinding habit (either past or present) and then determine the best mode of treatment for you.

If required, we can offer grinding (occlusal) splints which can help prevent damage from grinding and reduce TMD.
